Mental health and metabolic health are inseparable. Whatever affects our mental health will also affect our physical health and vice-versa. In time, depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic stress and other conditions can lead to the onset of illnesses such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, cancer, autoimmune and neurological disorders.

Metabolic psychology explores the “WHY” behind patterns of self-defeating behaviors.  This approach integrates evidence informed research and practices and  emphasizes the importance of restoring cognitive and emotional health that in turn supports lifestyle and metabolic health.

Metabolic psychology differs from metabolic psychiatry. In part, as the “WHY”” is addressed, metabolic psychiatry explores “WHAT” can be done differently. This approach integrates medicine, nutritional science and lifestyle factors for the treatment of brain and body health disorders and conditions.
