HEATHER HAMILTON, PH.D
Heather holds a PhD. in Clinical Psychology, 2 Master of Science degrees in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling, and a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science. Throughout these degree programs, she focused on dual diagnosis, with an emphasis on mental and metabolic health. Her expertise lies in leading teams in the development and delivery of sensitive, cost-effective mental health resources for marginalized populations.
In 2009, Dr. Hamilton began her career in mental health counseling with the prestigious Talbott Recovery Center in Atlanta where she specialized in the treatment of mood, personality, and addictive disorders. After relocating to Washington in 2013, Heather joined a large medical practice dedicated entirely to women’s health and metabolic recovery. This experience was a unique opportunity to fully integrate mental health counseling and supportive resources in a large primary care setting.
In 2016, Heather founded BreakThrough! a practice dedicated to supporting mental and metabolic recovery. Since then, she and the “Breakthrough!” team has focused on developing and facilitating approved, evidence-based programs. Heather continues to develop programs to help individuals and communities recover from lifestyle and psychological disorders with a new focus on children and adolescent populations.

Sarah Deeder
Prior to joining Team BreakThrough!, Sarah worked as a freelance graphic and web designer and served as the Public Relations and Graphics Manager for a small nonprofit that provides housing support, parenting support, and mental health services to families experiencing homelessness.
Whether Sarah finds herself working within the private, nonprofit, or government sector, she is always looking for the next opportunity to utilize her creativity, compassion, and courage to leverage positive change. Hence, why she is a perfect addition to Team BreakThrough!

Dr. Jendayi A. Stafford, a medically retired Navy veteran, is a developmental psychologist and integrative nutrition health coach dedicated to educating and advocating for holistic healing and transforming the lives of those suffering from chronic diseases.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science with an emphasis in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminal Justice, 3 Masters degrees in Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Organizational Leadership, as well as a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology. She also holds certifications as a pharmacy technician and integrative nutrition health coach.
Dr. Stafford is one of the dedicated members of Dr. Heather Hamilton’s BreakThrough! team. She serves as the Congressional Lead for the fourth district of Virginia on the Homeopathy Action Team with the Americans for Homeopathy Choice. She also serves with the American Institute of Homeopathy’s National Homeopathic Product Certification Board as a member of the Outreach Committee.
